Maliha Khan
Maliha Khan is a dedicated educator with a Bachelor of Sciences and graduate work in Biochemistry. Since 2007, she has been inspiring students as a teacher of Honors Chemistry and Honors Biology, focusing on building their confidence and fostering a love for learning. With a strong emphasis on content mastery, critical thinking, and teamwork, she encourages her students to pursue individual fulfillment. Recognized for her excellence Mrs. Khan was awarded "Teacher of the week" in Rockford and was a nominee for the prestigious Golden Apple Award in 2009.
As Co-Founder of ILMS, she hopes to show students that with dedication, perseverance, and hard work, any challenge can be successfully met!
Faten Abdallah
Faten Abdallah holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science, complemented her graduate studies in Foundations of Education. She believes that understanding oneself begins with deep exploration of the past.
Mrs. Faten advocates for problem-based learning, where diverse experiences a student's understanding to life. As an educator, co-founder of ILMS, and tutor, she aims to inspire students to engage locally while thinking globally, fostering critical thinking and adventurous ideas through dialogue, discussion and simulations. Mrs Abdallah was working as an instructor at Kishwaukee College from 2001-2005 and has also worked as an interim Principal and teacher at a local K-12 school since 2005.
