Maliha Khan
Maliha Khan is a dedicated educator with a Bachelor of Sciences and graduate work in Biochemistry. Since 2007, she has inspired students as a teacher of Chemistry and Biology, building their confidence and fostering a love for learning. With a strong emphasis on content mastery, critical thinking, and teamwork, she encourages her students to pursue individual fulfillment. In recognition of her excellence, Mrs. Khan was awarded "Teacher of the Week" in Rockford and was a nominee for the prestigious Golden Apple Award in 2009.
As Co-Founder of ILMS, she hopes to show students that, with dedication, perseverance, and hard work, any challenge can be successfully met!
Faten Abdallah
Faten Abdallah holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science, complemented by her graduate studies in Foundations of Education. Through years of experience, including as an instructor at Kishwaukee College (2001-2005) and as a teacher and interim Principal a local K-12 school since 2005, Mrs. Abdallah has come to believe that understanding oneself begins with a deep exploration of your past. She advocates for problem-based learning as a teaching method that fosters critical thinking and collaboration through dialogue, discussion, and simulations.
As an educator, tutor, and Co-Founder of ILMS, Mrs. Abdallah aims to inspire students to engage locally while thinking globally as the next generation of change-makers!
